1-SCRAP
MANAGEMENT :

|
-All
Scrap arriving to the scrap yard (imported and home scrap) will be
discharged by heavy-duty magnet excavator and hydraulic scrap
handling units equipped with grabs. |
|
|
-Received
scrap will be inspected carefully and any load which is out of
specification will be rejected for final disposal.
|
|
|
-Selected
large pieces or items such as electric motors, closed vessels, wood,
concrete, rubber, nonferrous metals such as copper, aluminum, chrome
incendiary material… etc
- which are normally unacceptable as furnace basket feed-
will be segregated from the arriving scrap and placed in a separate
pile.
|
|
|
-The
off loaded scrap will be stocked on the main stockpiles, as
available.
|
|
|
-Classified
scrap into heavy, medium, light in scrap bay according to
density.
|
|
|
-Scrap
from the stockpiles will be re-loaded onto Tipper trucks and
transported to the melt-shop scrap
yard.
